What I Love about golf. The 8th hole at Pebble Beach
A reflection on everything I love about the game. Today – Dolphins and the 8th hole at Pebble.
No matter how many times I have walked up that fairway, it always is overwhelmingly beautiful, majestic really. I was caddying for my buddy Jojo and as we walked up towards the peak of the hill, almost to where the fairway ends we looked over at the little cove where the Pacific Ocean meets the shore and there was a pod of dolphins leaping through the air. I’m not talking about a pod of 3 or 4 dolphins – It was what seemed like a 100 dolphins swimming together and in a beautiful synchronicity jumping and twisting through the air. I looked backed at JoJo and we both said “you have got to be kidding me”.
One of my best memories ever.
